BIOGRAPHY

 

Culture shocking, trend setting, influential, powerful....that is the Frontlynaz.  Frontlynaz are ushering in the new age of hip hop/ RAP music.  Frontlynaz proclaim "Game Over" to the industry standard and is bringing hot culture shocking rhymes, top notch production, and beyond the norm hip hop...all wrapped around a message of purpose. 

Frontlynaz has performed in numerous states along the east coast and have recently reached audiences in California. In addition to their U.S. ministry, they have performed in the West Indies and Nigeria and have developed a fan base in Singapore, Europe, Australia and Canada. Frontlynaz has shared the stage with a variety of artists such as Donnie McClurkin, The Katinas, Ki Ki Sheard, Cross Movement and Ty Tribbet.  Their 2008 release, “GAMEOVER”, has recently been nominated for a Stellar Gospel Award in the category of Best Rap / Hip Hop Album of the Year.

Hailing from DE and NJ, these artists Bro. Wize, Proph 1 and Wit are focused on providing positive relevant music to today's Rap Culture that pierces the very soul of the listener and leaves them changed from the very first listen.

INDIVIDUAL BIOS

 

Bro Wize-
Over 6 ft tall, Bro. Wize commands a certain attention on stage but beyond his physical stature he carries with him a brave flow that hits harder than Mike Tyson in his prime. One of the founding members of the group, he is a true emcee that aims to  boost the confidence of his listeners and motivate them to take a stand for Truth. Bro. Wize has inspired other artists with his edgy, wise, and captivating flow. Not only a force on track, his energy and passion is hard to hide on stage. He is a leader in hip hop music and he pursues excellence and Christ-likeness off the stage. He is regularly requested as a guest speaker and he serves as a director of young adults for his local church. He is currently working on a blog project for young adults & professionals in the faith (www.evangeleaders.blogspot.com). His message is simple..."Pop the culture". Make no mistake, he takes no pride in himself but he promotes the SOURCE and POWER of his life...Jesus.

Proph 1-
An artist, husband, father, social worker, youth leader, dynamic speaker, Proph 1 is so many things to so many people.  When he's not rocking stages or in the studio with the Frontlynaz, he's serving in his community, speaking at various churches, hanging with his family or just getting it in with God through study and prayer. It is these things that give him balance, that allow him to connect to the world around him and write music that truly speaks to the human condition andstruggles associated with living out his faith.

Songs like “Speak to You” (Gameday LP), “Day by Day” (Game Over LP), “Sky Crack”(Game Day LP) and  “Lyna Anthem” (Game Over LP) deal with a variety of real issues from battling Lust, to
discouragement and standing bold in your mission.  These songs have inspired and edified a generation of listeners to examine thier stances on life and faith.

Through his music and his life he's making it known he is out to challenge the value systems of this world and that no issue is off the table. Along with his crew he is making it clear not to expect the ordinary. In his own words “Get ready for the movement, get ready for the Frontlynaz.”

 

Wit-
At 20 years old, Elvin Shahbazian aka Wit is the youngest member of Frontlynaz. Also being the executive producer, Elvin has garnered his musical ability and ear from a young age. Having piano lessons from a young age and playing the drums at his church since he was 14 years old. But now Wit is focused. Having been in the industry for almost four years, he is ready to bring a fresh style and message to anybody the Lord puts him in front of. Although Wit is sometimes known best for catchy punchlines, his goal is to always present a relevant message and point out the consistencies and inconsistencies of day to day life in a "witty" fashion.

Wit balances being in school full time as a Business Management major, running his music production company (I Qwit Music), serving at his church, and recording and traveling with Frontlynaz! Not the typical life of a 20 year old. But he wouldn't have it any other way!
